Our Name & Logo
We thought long and hard about an apt name for our counselling services organisation and wanted to share our thinking with you. Our company name derives from the metaphor ‘the elephant in the room’ as participating in talking therapy frequently means people confront issues that have previously been ignored.
The avoidance of capital letters in our name is representative of our view that we are all equal regardless of our difficulties. The adult and child symbolise the age groups that we work with and pink elephants are representative of therapeutic space.
*NICE clinical guidelines are recommendations, based on the best available evidence, for the care of people by healthcare and other professionals.
Professional governing bodies:
Counsellors and Therapists are under no legal obligation to become members of government bodies. However, our team all hold appropriate membership of a governing body ensuring they meet qualifying criteria relating to training and experience. All our therapists abide by a code of ethics.
